Education and Training Specialist
Description

The Education and Training Specialist will lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of training and educational systems for clinicians. This individual will play a key role in shaping the agency’s learning culture by developing, streamlining, and enhancing training programs and CEU opportunities that meet licensure and agency standards.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee Training Content: Lead the design and improvement of onboarding training for new clinicians, ensuring they are equipped with essential knowledge and skills for success.
  • Streamline and Update Trainings: Regularly review, condense, and update training materials to align with evolving agency policies, procedures, and industry standards.
  • Communication System for Policy Changes: Develop and implement a system to effectively notify relevant staff groups of procedural or policy changes.
  • CEU Program Development: Identify and provide ongoing opportunities for continuing education, both by coordinating internal programs and liaising with external providers to offer CEUs that meet licensure requirements.
  • Support Continuous Learning: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by overseeing internal CEU opportunities; helping staff create CEUs and stay current with best practices in mental health care.
  • Program expansion: Work with internal and external SMEs to form CEU partnerships and expand Pillars CEU offering. 
Qualifications
  • Education: Master’s degree required in counseling, social work, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience preferred in training development, education coordination, or similar roles within a mental health or healthcare environment.
  • Skills:
    • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and engage diverse audiences effectively.
    • Problem-Solving: Ability to anticipate challenges, analyze situations, and develop effective solutions to ensure the smooth functioning of training programs.
    • Adaptability: Comfort with change and ability to remain flexible in a dynamic environment, incorporating new technologies, processes, and policies as they evolve.

Attention to Detail: Great attention to detail to ensure training materials are accurate, compliant with agency standards, and engaging for staff.
