Description

As a Christian Counseling Team Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Christian Counseling team. This support includes providing therapy and administrative/team support to the unique needs of individuals seeking the integration of faith and counseling. Your responsibilities will encompass conducting therapy sessions, creating psychoeducational courses, clinician support, and maintaining organizational relationships (both internal and external) to support our mission of serving this population. Comprehensive support, including group supervision, individual supervision, and staff meetings, will be provided to ensure your professional growth and development.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of your assigned clinical supervisor and our Director of Growth and Development, the Christian Counseling Team Specialist is entrusted with the following responsibilities:
- Providing evidence-based mental health counseling and psychotherapy tailored specifically for the integration of faith and counseling, with the ability to adjust this integration dependent on the client’s preference (for clients who request faith integration and for those who do not).
- Identifying culturally appropriate treatment modalities to address the diverse experiences and individual requirements of the client’s situation.
- Collaborating with clients to establish therapeutic goals and develop personalized treatment plans aimed at fostering resilience and growth.
- Empowering clients through strength-based approaches, equipping them with resources and strategies to enhance coping skills and gain insight.
- Assisting in the advancement of the Christian Counseling program by helping the development of a robust team of providers with competence in the integration of faith and mental health.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with external community partners to create and advance our ability to best serve this population.
- Foster relationships and pursue partnerships with local churches and their leadership teams, offering support and mental health education as appropriate.
- Sharing expertise and knowledge by delivering educational presentations and to staff on relevant topics and participating in Continuing Education Unit (CEU) training sessions alongside licensed clinicians.

This role presents an extraordinary opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the mental health and well-being of those who desire a better understanding of how their faith and mental health goals can work together.
