Position title
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Description

Pillars of Wellness is seeking a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT or LMFTA) to provide high-quality mental health services to clients. The LMFT/LMFTA is responsible for overseeing the mental well-being of the clients under their care by developing and assessing treatment plans, setting short- and long-term goals, and ensuring effective clinical interventions. LMFTs may also have the opportunity to supervise provisionally licensed providers and/or interns, while LMFTAs will focus solely on their own caseload as they work toward full licensure.

Pillars is a rapidly growing mental health startup setting the standard for excellence in the mental wellness space. Our success comes from investing in our people, and we are looking for team members who are committed to personal and professional growth—not just for themselves, but for Pillars as a whole. We are continuously creating new opportunities as we grow and are dedicated to changing the mental health field by empowering clinicians to be their best selves so they can best serve their clients.

If you’re passionate about making an impact in the field of mental health, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Clinical Director of their location, the LMFT or LMFTA is responsible for evaluating, assessing, diagnosing, and treating clients experiencing mental health and psychological distress.

For LMFTs, there is an emphasis on providing weekly supervision and ongoing training for their supervisees. LMFTAs will focus solely on direct client care as they work toward full licensure.

  • For LMFTs:
    • Provide weekly supervision and support for individual staff, including interns.
    • Review and sign all supervisee progress notes, providing feedback as necessary, and ensure documentation is completed in a timely manner.
    • Complete staff evaluations as needed.
    • Provide training opportunities for staff as needed.
    • Lead team meetings as required.
  • For Both LMFTs and LMFTAs:
    • Attend staff meetings and team conferences.
    • Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy, as needed. (Note: LMFT supervisors' clinical caseload will decrease as they take on more supervisees.)
    • Participate in professional development activities.
