Pillars Merrillville is under the direction of Katelyn Kapelinski. Katelyn has a strong clinical background and a desire to help clinicians reach their highest potential. Her supervision model is facilitative and supportive with the aim of ensuring both clinical development and positive client outcomes.
By ensuring clinicians strive towards their goal of being their best, Katelyn is able to support the continued progress of clients who are managing issues related to depression, anxiety, relationship issues, to name a few. Utilizing the Pillars administrative processes she continually monitors clients’ progress and community needs to ensure her team is supporting the Merrillville and surrounding area!

Hello, and welcome to Pillars of Wellness, our Merrillville location. My name is Katelyn Kapelinski, and I am the director of Pillars Merrillville. Pillars of Wellness started its great work of providing mental health therapy in Merrillville and I am honored to be entrusted with the opportunity to take a director role to be sure that we continue to build a team that empowers clients, clinicians, and our community!
At Pillars, we pride ourselves first and foremost on supporting our clients to help themselves realize their true self, by developing and building on their strengths, processing and learning from past experiences, and making both positive and pro-active adjustments moving forward. Our goal is to help our clients realize their strengths, and guide them through their personal growth, as they become the best version of themselves.
Our fantastic team of clinicians is a diverse group of professionals, dedicated to meeting the needs of different populations and individuals. We hold in the highest regard the needs of our clients and realize the importance of finding the right client-therapist fit for optimal therapeutic success! That, along with supervision, consultation, and collaboration, our clinicians can best serve our clients.
Our office is conveniently located just off route 30 in Merrillville, but within a strip of other offices, allowing for a private and individualized feel.

Office Hours
Office hours are typically Monday through Friday with appointments starting around 8:00am and ending around 9:00pm. There are some clinicians who have weekend availability. Clinicians are responsible for coordinating schedules with their clients and Pillars will do their best to accommodate with your scheduling needs. Generally, morning and afternoon appointments have shorter wait times. Administrative hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm with the exception of holidays.
