Pillars of Wellness conveniently provides telepsychology services to children, adolescents, families, couples, and individuals. Telehealth is backed by over 20 years of research demonstrating its effectiveness. Not only is telehealth effective across a range of mental health needs, but it also allows for flexibility, safety, and efficiency. It also increases consistency and reduces barriers to continued consistency in treatment. You can attend your therapy session in the comfort of your home, or even parked in your car on your lunch break. While the location of your appointment can be flexible, we encourage you to have a quiet and private space for your session.
All of our clinicians have the ability to provide telehealth services. We use HIPAA compliant and secure methods of communication and will complete your initial session through a platform called doxy.me. If you have a tele-video appointment, you can expect to receive a link from your clinician prior to your appointment. After clicking the link, you will be prompted to enter your name and then you will be placed into the clinician’s virtual waiting room. Your clinician will start the video call at your scheduled appointment time.
You will want to ensure you have the following prior to your appointment:
- Private and quiet space
- High-speed internet connection
- Smartphone, tablet, or a computer
- Bonus points for good lighting
There are times where technological issues may arise. Your clinician will provide alternative ways to complete the appointment, whether it is another video platform or the option to reschedule your appointment.
Our tele-video clinical team is able to provide services in the following states: Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Tennessee, and New York. If you are living in or traveling to these states, you can see a Pillars’ clinician!
