Mr. Pape is a graduate of the University of Illinois-Chicago with a Masters degree in Social Work. He completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology at Purdue University.
Mr. Pape has almost 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families in a variety of settings such as acute inpatient, residential, community crisis assessment, referral and response and school systems. He has served as a clinical director for 9 years overseeing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) focused treatment programs in two separate treatment facilities. He has been intensively trained in DBT and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TFCBT) and his therapeutic style incorporates those approaches as well as Client Centered Therapy.
Mr. Pape uses an approach that is genuine, empathetic, validating and nonjudgmental. He believes in using a strength and solution focused approach and that one’s mindset and behaviors can be a significant change agent in ultimately leading one to a life worth living.
