Teddy received his bachelor’s degree in business management and finance from Elmhurst University in 2019 and earned his master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Valparaiso University in 2023.
Teddy works with children, teens, and adults, specializing in addressing depression, anxiety, habits, relationship issues (individuals only), and ADHD. Teddy is Level 2 certified in TEAM-CBT, which focuses on testing, empathy, agenda-setting, and methods to improve treatment outcomes.
For adult clients, Teddy employs TEAM-CBT to confront issues such as depression, anxiety, and relationship problems, focusing on selecting techniques that fit each person and situation based on their goals, thoughts, and feelings. This approach ensures therapy is customized and impactful, aiming to enhance the client’s ability to function, cope, and adapt to life’s challenges.
In working with children, Teddy adopts a different strategy, emphasizing a family-centered method. This includes parent-skills training to tackle behavioral challenges, underlining the importance of homework and guardian participation for therapy progress and positive change in younger clients.
Teddy’s experience spans a variety of settings, including internships at Behavior Specialists of Indiana (BSI), Crown Counseling, and Regional Health Systems, followed by a role at BSI. This diverse background equips Teddy with the skills to conceptualize each case uniquely and effectively. Teddy has also coached middle school and high school cross country and track & field since 2015. He currently coaches at a local high school and was a national winner of the Positive Coaching Alliance’s Double-Goal Coach Award in 2019.
