Heather has been working in the mental health field since 2005 after receiving her degree in Psychology from Purdue University Northwest. She received her Masters of Social Work (MSW) degree in 2009 with a concentration in the field of mental health and addictions. She currently is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and Licensed School Social Worker (LSSW). Her experience ranges from inpatient mental health treatment, hospice and grief therapy, and school social work. Heather has been working as a school social worker for the past 8 years helping middle and high school students navigate emotional and social issues.

Heather has a deep commitment to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. She brings a compassionate and personalized approach to therapy. Believing in the power of the therapeutic relationship, Heather practices person-centered therapy, where empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuine understanding are at the core of each session. She also employs Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns, promoting healthier behaviors and emotional responses.
