Ms. Henning is a graduate of Indiana University where she received both a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Masters of Social Work (MSW). She views therapy as a safe space to work through both past and present stressors. Her goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for clients on their therapeutic journey. Ms. Henning hopes to also provide clients with the tools needed to help them navigate their presenting concerns in a positive and healthy way. She views the client as the “master” in their own healing, while she is just there as a helping hand along the way.
Ms. Henning’s clinical interests include children, teenagers, and young adults with anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, self-harming behaviors, suicidal ideation, self-esteem concerns, and grief. Her theoretical orientation includes the client-centered approach while drawing many therapeutic interventions from the strengths-based perspective, mindfulness techniques, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) as well.
