Ms. Buford graduated from Indiana University in 2012 with her Masters in Educational Sciences through the Marriage and Family Therapy cohort. After graduating she worked in wrap-around services for the department of children services. She was a home-based therapist for 2 years with them. Simultaneously she took a job teaching various psychology and clinical courses at Indiana Institute of Technology, where she currently continues to teach.

 

Ms. Buford takes a very biological perspective of behavioral issues and patterns while at the same time examining how emotions affect our physiology. She also is very interested in social and cultural impacts on mental health. Psycho-education, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Emotional Focused Therapy are her favorite modalities.
