Ms. Kapelinski is a graduate of Valparaiso University where she received her Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and she is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
Ms. Kapelinski specializes in working with adolescents and also has experience working with children, families, young adults, and people struggling with addiction. Ms. Kapelinski is experienced in utilizing techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, and Experiential Therapy. Her background involves co-creating a behavior management program for troubled teens, providing individual and group counseling in a school-based day treatment program with middle school and high school students struggling with academics and/or behavioral and mental health issues, co-facilitating an anger-management group, and facilitating team building for children on an outdoor ropes course.
